And this episode’s Work of the Week is The Imaginative and prescient of Zacharias within the Temple (1633) by Rembrandt. Researchers on the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam have demonstrated that the portray, which had beforehand been documented as a replica of a misplaced authentic, is in actual fact an genuine work by the Dutch grasp. We converse to Jonathan Bikker, the Rijksmuseum’s curator of Seventeenth-century Dutch work, who was a part of the group that secured the attribution to Rembrandt. The image is now on view to the general public on the Rijksmuseum.
