Strategy Opposes MSCI Proposal, Claims Unfair Persecution

Bitcoin treasury Technique has blasted Morgan Stanley Capital Worldwide’s proposal to exclude it from its International Investable Market Indexes, calling it “misguided” and “flawed.” 

Writing in a letter to MSCI Monday, the Nasdaq-listed Bitcoin behemoth’s founder, Michael Saylor, and CEO, Phong Le, stated that the corporate was discriminating in opposition to digital asset companies. 

MSCI stated earlier this month that it was consulting on a plan to outline “non-operating firms” and make them ineligible for its International Investable Market Indexes. The elimination of such firms would exclude corporations like Technique from indexes seen to a big pool of institutional traders.

MSCI’s newest proposal comes after the corporate in 2025 proposed excluding from its indices all firms whose digital-asset holdings characterize 50% or extra of complete property. 

“MSCI’s continued effort to discriminate in opposition to digital property is misguided and calls into query MSCI’s neutrality and reliability,” Technique’s letter learn. 

It added: “The proposal, just like the 2025 proposal that MSCI withdrew, is discriminatory, arbitrary, and misguided.
