Climate activist found guilty of ‘defacing’ Degas sculpture at US National Gallery of Art – The Art Newspaper

A local weather activist who smeared purple and black paint on the pedestal and enclosure of an Edgar Degas ballerina sculpture in 2023 was discovered responsible on Tuesday (8 April) of “conspiracy to commit an offense in opposition to america” by a federal jury.
