Btrust Names Abubakar Nur Khalil As New CEO

Bitcoin growth nonprofit Btrust has named Nigerian Bitcoin Core contributor Abubakar Nur Khalil as its new chief government officer, the group introduced immediately. 

Khalil had beforehand served as interim CEO whereas sitting on the board as a non-voting member. Khalil will step down from his board place and report on to the group’s administrators within the full-time function.

Based to assist open-source Bitcoin growth within the World South, Btrust has expanded its footprint throughout Africa, Latin America, and India over the previous 12 months. The non-profit acquired preliminary funding from Jay-Z and Jack Dorsey.

Throughout his interim management, the group elevated partnerships with organizations together with Bitshala, Vinteum and 2140, and reported file grant distribution.

Khalil co-founded Btrust Builders, an initiative targeted on rising the open-source developer pipeline in rising markets. He’s acknowledged as a outstanding advocate for Bitcoin growth in Africa.
